What is AAIND?
AAIND is a non-profit organization comprised of companies and individuals involved in the sales and distribution of printed matter. Our membership is comprised of individuals that owners and employees of hand deliver agencies, wholesale distribution companies, and related industries and representatives of the publishing industry. Our mission is to disseminate industry information to our members while building a sense of community among the various participants involved in the distribution of newspapers and magazines.

AAIND stands for American Association of Independent News Distributors.
Who should join AAIND?
Anyone who is involved in newspaper or magazine circulation, either as a publisher, distributor, or a related business supporting the industry should consider joining AAIND.
How do I join AAIND?
The easiest way to join AAIND is to complete our online registration form. You may also contact us by telephone or email to find out more information. You will see a list of Board Members and staff on our contact page. Our Executive Director is always available to answer any questions.
What happens once I submit my registration form?
When you submit your registration form it is sent to all of the AAIND Board Members. Your information is reviewed and the Board makes a determination as to whether or not you qualify to join AAIND. You will generally be notified of your membership status within 5 business days.
What are the qualifications necessary to join AAIND?
Practically anyone who works in the publishing industry can join AAIND. Chances are, if you've read this far you are a potential AAIND member.
How are dues determined?
Dues are determined by the nature and the size of your business and the type of membership you qualify for.
What are the types of memberships?
There are three types of memberships in AAIND, A distributor member, a publisher member and a vendor member. Anyone who owns or works for a company that distributes newspapers and magazines, either as a home delivery agent or as a wholesaler is a distributor member. Anyone who works for a publishing company is a publisher member. A vendor member is someone who services the industry.
What are the benefits of membership in AAIND?
There are many reasons to join AAIND. Most importantly membership gives you the opportunity to network with other industry professionals on a regular basis, giving you new business leads and generating fresh ideas. Our website has many features that are only available to members. These include a membership directory with hundreds of industry contacts; an online bulletin board where the latest topics concerning the industry are discussed; access to our library, which contains conference material from our previous conferences, as well as an archive of our newsletters and pertinent articles; and discounted registration fees to our conferences.
Who can attend an AAIND Conference?
Conferences are open to everybody but members are entitled to significant discounts. Members also get access to the AAIND Library so they can easily access conference material should they miss a session or need to refresh their memory.
